In March 2023, I, as the first American missionary orthodontist, alongside three dedicated team members, embarked on a groundbreaking journey to El Salvador in collaboration with People Helping People—an extraordinary organization dedicated to making a positive impact. Our mission spanned five days, during which we committed ourselves to providing orthodontic care to those in need.
During the initial two days, our team worked tirelessly to fit braces on both children and adults, maximizing our efforts to assist as many individuals as possible. With the collaborative spirit of my exceptional team, we successfully provided braces to a total of 22 people, enhancing their smiles and transforming lives.
The subsequent two days were dedicated to exploring the country and extending our assistance to those in need. In addition to our hands-on efforts, we were proud to contribute a substantial donation of $30,000 worth of orthodontic equipment, reinforcing our commitment to fostering dental health and well-being.
